Dan Dudley, Instructor
I get a lot of students in my Electrical Exam Preparation classes
who have tried many other ways to "LEARN ON THEIR OWN"
and pass the exam without going to a class. Most of them have
tried many times to pass the exam without success.
If you call the ICC (International Code Council) they will tell you
that they suggest taking an exam preparation class before you
take the exam. They cannot recommend any particular class,
however they do know that the pass rate for those who do not
attend a class is less than 10%, and for those that do attend a
prep class it is about 25% on the very first try. That is a 250%
better chance of passing on the very first try just for taking a
class to prepare for the exam.
My class is based upon the current versions of the Texas ICC
exams. I have taken and passed this exam myself and I have
first hand knowledge of the exam and the way that questions
are asked and the areas that they tend to ask questions from.
No one can GUARANTEE that you will pass the exam because
there are too many things outside of our control as the
instructor (things like being sick, having an argument before
the test, or nervousness, etc.). However, what I can guarantee
you is that my class will improve your grade (usually about 15
to 20 points) above what you would have gotten without taking
my class.
As an instructor, it is not about how much I know, but rather
about how much I can teach you in the amount of time we have
together.
My name is Dan Dudley, I used to own Code Electrical Training
Services. I have been teaching Exam Prep classes in Texas for
the past 7 years. My company name changed last year to Dan
Dudley and Associates, but it is still the same as before.
I will personally promise to you that if you attend one of my
classes I will do my very best within the time we have together
to prepare you to pass the electrical exam. I will not "blow
smoke in your eyes", I will be direct, straight forward, honest,
and informative.
In my class you are encouraged to ask questions any time and
as many as you wish (we only ask that you stay on topic during
the class).
I am an electrician just like you, and I know I can help you pass
the exam...

Don't waste valuable time studying things that either are not asked on the exam...or that are only asked once in awhile. Study the areas that are worth the most points.
Learn what you need to study.
Our class is broken down into segments corresponding to areas on the exams....with each segment you learn how to answer the questions asked in that area and how to do the required calculations.
when you complete our class you will know what kinds of questions to expect, how to find the CORRECT answer to those questions, how to do the calculations, and you will be much more confidant when you do take the exam.
