Electrical Apprenticeship
Electrical Exam Training
Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E)
The apprenticeship program is a
combination of “Classroom” and
“On the Job” training that takes
place over a period of four years.
The program is designed to
provide the apprentice with the
necessary theory and practical
training to earn the status of
electrician. For completion, 576
hours of classroom instruction
and 8,000 hours of on the job
training are required. At the end
of the training, the apprentice
receives a Completion Certificate
from the U.S. Department of
Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship
and Training, the National Center
for Construction Education and
Research, and the Construction
Workforce Training Center. The
training stresses the successful
passing of the State of Texas
Journeyman Electrician Exam.
All graduating apprentices are
encouraged to attend the Exam
Prep Classes prior to the exam at
no charge to the apprentice.
The Electrical Continuing
Education training program is
approved by numerous states,
including Texas, for Electrical
License Renewal.
Classes are offered that cover 4,
8, 12, and 16 hours of the
required continuing education
to renew an Electrical License.
A four hour class is scheduled
on the third (3rd) Saturday of:
February, May, August and
November which satisfies all the
requirements for license renewal
in Texas.
Apprentices, Residential Wireman,
Journeyman and Master
Electricians all require 4 hours
each year in order to renew their
licenses.

The Electrical Safety and NFPA
70E Arc Flash Protection training
course is designed to save lives,
prevent disabling injuries, and
prevent damage to equipment,
plants, buildings, and other
structures.
Based upon the current edition of
NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in
the Workplace), students who
attend this course will gain an
immense understanding of the
true power of electricity. They
will learn about personal safety
while working on or around
electrical systems and equipment,
how to determine proper PPE,
how to select safe working
procedures and techniques, and
the potential consequences for
themselves and others if they
fail to follow safe work practices.
Skill evaluations are offered at
many different levels based upon
employees job duties and tasks.
The two day Electrical Exam
Preparation class is designed
to prepare the student to pass
ANY electrical exam given in
any location around the United
States.
The class concentrates primarily
on the Texas, New Mexico, and
Oklahoma PSI Electrical Exams.
The instructor has experience in
taking numerous electrical exams
based upon the BLOCK, SBCCI,
ICC, EXPERIOR (Thompson
Prometric now), NAI, and many
other local county and city exams.
We are constantly asked about
our success/pass rate.
We currently have a true
96% pass rate.
Some of our students take the
class more than once to pass.
REPEATS OF THE CLASS ARE
